El Fenn is the perfect boutique hotel from which to explore the beautiful Marrakech. The hotel is located in the Medina and just a short walk from Djemaa El Fna.
A unique and stylish stay, with 31 individually designed rooms, suites, a private house, courtyards, three swimming pools, a 650 sqm roof terrace, a spa, 2 cocktail bars and a boutique – plus a family of resident tortoises.
The restored 19th century Marrakechi Riad, is filled with art, Maroccan crafts, spacious colorful rooms with high ceilings and sitting areas, plunge pool rooms with a private plunge pool and roof terrace and a six bedroom Private House -a few minutes walk from the main hotel.
You can also rent the Riad for private exclusive rent.
El Fenn was founded on the belief that luxury can also be relaxed, authentic and sustainable. The team is local, the artisans come from the souks and the food from nearby.

- Complimentary mint tea and patisserie served to in-house guests each afternoon in our main courtyard - which is also home to the family of resident tortoises. It’s served from 3-6pm and is a great chance to unwind after a hard day in the souk - or get to know other guests over a glass of tea.
- The roof terrace is El Fenn’s most popular spot. It’s 650 sqm, has a close-up view of the iconic Koutoubia Mosque as well as the rooftops of Marrakech and there’s a mass of daybeds and lounging areas to enjoy it all from. There’s also a marble bar and a team of mixologists on hand from midday until late if you’re in the mood for a drink.
- Have a cocktail or bar snack as you lounge on day beds beside the 13 m roof top pool and soak in sunshine - as well as the stunning backdrop of the Atlas Mountains.
- For little ones, there’s also a 70 cm deep plunge pool for them to enjoy. On the ground floor, the 12 m lap pool is surrounded by jungle-like foliage and a pétanque lawn.
- There’s also an 8 m spa pool which is heated all year round. The swimming pools are for the use of hotel guests only and open all year round.
- El Fenn is a relaxed kind of place and so is the food. The emphasis is on local, seasonal plant-based food - with fish, chicken or lamb if you prefer. Each dish is made with freshly harvested fruits and vegetables from local farms and markets, combined with the bright herbs, exotic spices and fragrant aromatics that make Moroccan cuisine so delicious.
- Traditional beauty rituals are given a luxurious twist in the Spa. Relax in the hammam – or hot room - before having a body scrub or head to one of the candlelit treatment rooms for a facial or massage.
- To really experience Marrakech is to be immersed in its colour, vibrancy and artisanal heritage and all interiors reflect this. Think saturated colours, hand-crafted details and bedrooms filled with art & pieces of classic mid-century design.
- El fenn curated some of the in-house products as well as all the best work by young, local designers who use age-old artisanal techniques to create fresh & modern pieces. Take a taxi to the front door & shop the El Fenn look before heading off into the souk.
- The Private House is just three minutes walk from the hotel, has four double rooms and two family suits. When you book the private house, you have acces to all hotel facilities.

Enjoy the local area
El Fenn is 15 minutes from Marrakech Menara airport and the easiest way to get to the hotel is by booking a private transfer. El Fenns driver will be holding a red sign with ‘El Fenn’ written in white letters as you exit the arrivals hall.
Alternatively, you can take your own taxi but get ready to haggle. Ask to go to to Bab el Ksour – it’s pronounced Bab Lxor. It’s a large stone archway gate through which you enter the medina. Go through the gate, take the first street on the right and our main hotel entrance door is 5m down on the right.
