• Chiesa del Carmine is the ancient church at the centre of the Carmine Estate, located in the heart of Umbria, 20 minutes north of the cosmopolitan city of Perugia and close to the Tuscan border.
• It is a beautiful 8 bedroom (6 doubles and 2 singles) country house nestling among hills in a peaceful valley, surrounded by meadows, woods, vineyards and olive groves. It is reached via a ‘strada bianca’ – white (unmade) road – and is approximately 1 kilometre from the main road. The views from the church and house are beautiful. There is an atmosphere of peace and quiet although the property is not isolated. The nearest village of Pierantonio and its shops are a 10 minute drive away, Umbertide, the nearest small town is about 15 minutes and Perugia is about 25 minutes away.
• The property is divided into two structures, the first the ancient church and the second the farm house.
• The ancient church features a large well equipped kitchen, a dining room and a large drawing room in the main section of the church.
• The restored farmhouse features 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms: 5 ensuite double bedrooms, and 1 additional double room with a family bathroom next to it, which can be shared with the single room (with a hand basin) nearby. On the ground floor there is another small single room with a hand basin, which can share a bathroom wherever is convenient.
• Between the farmhouse and the church there is a stone terrace with wide steps, where there is a round table with 8 comfortable seats where you can enjoy the view with an aperitivo.
• The property is wel equiped and foresee its guest with all the necessary, such as Internet, intercom system, stereo, television, linen, hairdryers, library, Vegetable Garden, table tennis
• There are two shady dining areas with large tables seating up to 14, one under a pergola next to the dining room and another under a large Holly Oak. There is barbecue nearby.
• The swimming pool is reached via a ‘Roman’ walkway, bordered by an avenue of Cyprus and Holly Oak. Around the pool area is a low fence for safety. The pool is a spacious 15 x 5.5m
• The property is a full self-catering property, however we can provide a catering service. This can vary from catering for one meal a week to three meals a day. Please contact us for full details of the service available. Cooking classes can also be arranged either at the chapel or off site.
• There are lots of beautiful places in Umbria to visit within a range of 30 min.
• The rates shown are for rentel complete property in low season: € 5.500. For rental in high season is € 9.900.
